The number one regret my clients have after colour analysis
When people book their first colour analysis session, they often bring a bundle of nerves with them. What if I don’t like my palette? What if none of my clothes will work anymore? What if it makes me feel boxed in? I get it — trying something new, especially something so personal, can feel vulnerable. Normally those fears melts away by the end of the session.Because the regrets my clients think they’ll have? They’re never the ones that actually come up. Let me break it down.
1. It’s not “I don’t like my palette.”
Many clients sit down with a quiet fear: “What if I don’t love the colours in my palette?”
But the moment they see their natural undertones illuminated by the right palette — eyes brighter, skin more radiant, their entire face coming to life — that fear dissolves.
In fact, most are surprised by how deeply their palette feels like them. Even if it’s filled with colours they never thought to wear, it just works and feels right. Because colour analysis isn’t about changing you, it’s more finding the essence.
2. It’s not ”This won’t work with my wardrobe.”
Another common worry: ”Will I have to throw everything out and start over?” Short answer: no.
Long answer: most people are already unknowingly drawn to colours that flatter them. There’s almost always a handful of existing pieces in your wardrobe that fit your palette perfectly.
The beauty of colour analysis is that it gives you a strategy — a filter through which you can build a more cohesive, more intentional wardrobe over time.
You start noticing what works, what clashes, and what makes you feel your best. Shopping becomes easier. Getting dressed becomes less of a mission impossible.
3. It’s not ”I feel limited.”
One of the biggest misconceptions about colour analysis is that it’s rigid. That it tells you what you can’t wear. But in reality, it’s more freeing than limiting.
When you know your best colours — the ones that energize you, flatter you, and feel aligned — you stop second-guessing your outfits, makeup choices and shopping decisions. There’s no more wasting time or money on things that do not work. There’s less of “I loved this on the hanger, but hate it now on me.”
So what is the regret?
It’s always the same: ”Why didn’t I do this sooner?
