Full closet, zero outfits? - Let’s talk about the most common wardrobe struggles

We’ve all been there. You open your closet, stare into the abyss, and dramatically say: “I have nothing to wear.” Meanwhile, your hangers are hanging on for dear life under the weight of too many clothes. Let’s break down the most common wardrobe problems — all of which I have heard from my clients time and time again - and see whether you have the same struggles. And also what you could do about it.

1. The “All Black Everything” phase that goes on too long

Black is chic. Black is safe.. Black is easy to find. It even is practical as it does not stain easily. This is a very common trouble, you think black is for everyone but you feel while wearing it something is a little off. Wearing all black all the time can also make you look tired, washed out, or just… invisible. For most of us black is a little harsh, too deep, too bright or too cool.

The Fix: Discover the colors that make your skin glow, your eyes pop, and your vibe shine. Even stepping to navy or anthracite grey may help a lot.

2. A Rainbow Closet… That Doesn’t Match

You bought that hot pink blazer in a moment of inspiration. The sage dress because it was cute. You have been inspired by stores, friends, social media and other random sources. And now nothing goes together. A very common situation for people who shop rather more spontaneously and love to try something new.

The Fix: A personal color analysis helps you build a color palette that works together — meaning your outfits basically build themselves

3. You’re not sure what “your” colors are

You keep buying clothes that look amazing on hangers… but less good on you. It is hard to distinguish what you like and what actually suits you and matches what you have. A common problem too.

The Fix: Colours make a huge difference. Color analysis helps you find shades that actually love you back.

4. Closet full of clothes for another lifestyle than what you have

You’ve got cocktail dresses, office blazers, and heels for days… But you work from home and wear comfy pants 90% of the time. Does it sound familiar? Maybe you are shopping for a slightly different lifestyle and taste than you actually have. It is allowed to invest in items you actually wear a lot.

The Fix: Dress for your real life, in colors that make even a casual outfit feel intentional.

5. You wear the same three outfits on repeat

Because they’re safe. They work - but the rest of your wardrobe feels like a mystery box.

The Fix: Once you know your best colors, you’ll feel confident building outfits — and finally wear more than just the top layer of your closet.

The bottom line?

It’s not that you have nothing to wear. It’s that your wardrobe doesn’t know you yet. Start with a color analysis, and suddenly your closet starts making sense. Need help? Let’s find your colors — and your confidence — together. Book a session solo, with your bestie, or even with mom. Because your wardrobe should work for you, not stress you out, or let you down.
